Well today's blog is about the Korean style BBQ food which is very popular in among young genereation. Last Friday I dined at a restaurant which is most famous in Geoje for the BBQ style food. The resturant name is "Lee Seo" which offers the most amazing BBQ in the town. Korean barbecue are style food has grilled beef, pork, chicken and fish.

In Korean they sometimes call it Gogi Gui , Gogi as I told you means meat and Gui means roasting, Meat Roasting.

The speciality of the Korean roasting is that in Korea they use charcoal for grilling the meat which make its extremely delicious.
Generally, they marinate the meat in a special sause for more that 24hours and when its grilled. Its so soft and melts in the mouth quickly.
The best part of it is the griller are installed on each table and the customers can grill the meat themselves which is always fun.
Also you can eat it hot as being cooked by yourself.

Also in Korea you can enjoy the side dishes like Kimchi, Salad etc.
After eat the barbecue meat you can order the main meals, we ordered one doshirak and one ramyeon.
The doshirak here comes with dean-jang jjigea which is different from the doshirak I discussed before.

 The doshirak is like home-made style which is rice mixed with fried sausage, egg, fish eggs, sea-weed and vegetables. The style of eating is you have to first cut and mix all the ingredients and shake it well.

Gujora Beach, Geoje-Si, South Korea

Its my favorite place in Geoje. I just love to relax Gujora beach. It has soft sand, mild temperature, beautiful view with small islands around, shallow, good for swimming and just like a small lake.
Its a good place to have a picnic, enjoy sand games, camping, have beach parties.

We have BBQ parties in Gujora many times.

At night, its really romantic and in the summer time its really crowded.

Its always fun to be at the beach. You can enjoy it with good food and games.
There are aorund 30 pansions around the beach. Also a direct bus number 22 and 23 is going to Gujora Beach.
Summer time is the best in Gujora.

How to use Chopstick in Korea?

If you love Korean food. Its really essential to use the chopsticks, in order to enjoy the Korean food in Korean style. Chopsticks were invented in China but are being used in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, China and Nepal.
It might be difficult for those who are using it first time so here are some tips:
1. You have to use your index finger, middle finger and the thumb to grip the chopsticks.
2. Put the other chopstick between the ring finger and bottom of the thumb
3. Then move the upper chopstick to pick the food.
4. Dont forget it needs practice to master it.

The Koreans are really skillful at it.
Also it is proven sceintifically that constant use of chopstick improves your brain.
It is world known that Koreans are really good in medical surgeries which is also related to their skills in using the chopsticks.
So give it a try! Otherwise you always keep the fork handy.

One more good Italian restaurant titled IL SOGNO ALATO, which is located just outside okpo, and really famous. Its away from the main market. The restaurant has double storey and has really good ambience. Its good for relaxing and enjoying the Italian food.

The food I may recommend is the carbonara Pasta with mushrooms and bacon.

The fungi garlic pizza is awesome.

The food is little expensive but worth it.

Its a good place and very comfortable.

The service is very fast and waiters are really kind.

I enjoyed it.

Geoje: Beeone secret garden

A new adventurous place Geoje is the beautiful secret garden, which has amazing natural site. it is surely giving a good competetion to Oedo Island. It has such scenic beauty.

 The waterfall is just amazing.

Every nick and corner is well decorated and just awesome. Cant be believe thats its Geoje!
The best place and worth many visits. Best place to relax in the nature, you can hear the birds chiping and frogs and tods making noise. Also you can hear the sound of the waterfall. Its so soothing and relaxing.

Geoje-Good cheap lunch-set food-doshirak(Lunch-box)

If you are tired of the normal korean soups and BBQ, you have an option to eat a simple, cheap food in the form of small food-sets called DOSHIRAK(lunch-box)
